Come to one of our Sunday pop-ups at Windmill Hill City Farm in Bedminster. Choose a time to arrive, pick a piece, and paint it however you like. We do the rest: we glaze it, fire it at a nearby Bristol kiln, and have it ready for you to collect at the next session.

What it is

A relaxed time at the table

You don't need any experience and there's no mess to tidy up. Arrive at the time you booked, pick a tile, a bowl or a plate, sit down with the paints, and make something that's yours. The table is yours for a good while, so there's no rush.

We're a pop-up, running fortnightly sessions at Windmill Hill City Farm in Bedminster, so it's easy to make a day of it in the area.

Good with kids

Families come to every session. Children are welcome to join in, and under-16s just need a grown-up with them. We keep the tables wipeable and the pace easy.

How it works

Three simple steps

What happens on the day, and after.

  1. Pick your pieces

    Choose a piece for each painter when you book, so we have them ready. You can swap to something else on the day and just pay any difference then.

  2. Paint it your way

    Take your time with the paints. We'll show you how to get started and lend a hand if you want one.

  3. We fire it, you collect

    Leave your piece with us. We glaze it and fire it at a local Bristol kiln, then email you when it's ready to collect at the next session, about two weeks later.

Before and after

The magic happens in the kiln

The paints look chalky and pale while you work. Then the colours come alive in the kiln, and your piece comes back glossy and bright.
